71st Texaco Children's Art Competition Winners Announced

The closing date for this year's Texaco Children's Art Competition has now passed and we would like to acknowledge and thank each entrant and their parents or guardians, their teachers and their school communities for their participation and involvement in the Competition.

This year's entry level was notable with many thousands of artworks received.

Congratulations to all, but especially to our category winners whose winning artworks are on display in the 2025 Gallery above. These artists were invited to our Awards Ceremony in May where they were officially presented with their award prizes and certificates.

We note in particular this year's overall winner - Daniel Walsh from Claremorris in Co. Mayo - for his detailed portrait study in graphite pencil of 'Colm'. His artwork along with three other winning artworks from this year's Competition will be exhibited at the prestigious 26th International Arts Festival in Tokyo's National Art Center in August at the kind invitation of the International Foundation for Arts and Culture (IFAC).  Well done to Daniel and congratulations to Megan Hogan, Amélie McAndrew and Ryan Duffy on this selection too.

We extend our congratulations also to those artists who have been awarded a Certificate of Commendation by our judging panel.  Their names may be viewed here, listed in alphabetical order by surname. Well done to all the recipients of this award. Your certificate will be with you shortly.

If you have any queries regarding the information above, please email Bronagh Carron at texacochildrensart@valero.com

Congratulations!
